Description
This Generic Function belongs to Working Area Security + Support. The Logging function provides a (logical) location where logs can be written and consulted, and the ability to do so. The logs are meant to contain relevant events from the IT infrastructure facility with which the Logging function is associated.
Note that while application of this function will result in a location where logs can be found, any functionality that can extract value from the logs is not included. Hence, this facility is usually coupled with one or more of the following funtions:
Alternatively, this function can be connected with (an instantiation of) the Facilities Monitoring service.
