Adaptability out has ordinal number 20. It's one-sentence description is:
"Capacity can be scaled outward only.".
When a facility has outward scalability, then the capacity of the facility can be increased by deploying multiple instances of the facility itself, but in a way that precludes removing the added facilities. For example:
- a RAID-5 array kan be expanded with one or more disks, even when it's on line. However, the array cannot be shrunk to remove a disk.
