Description

This Building Block Type belongs to Working Area Middleware (MW). It offers to store digital identities (each a set of identity attributes) together with information that can serve as credentials. Effectively, this Building Block Type is thus a specialized version of a Structured Data Store.
Identity Store is modeled separately from Identity Validation mainly to account for security aspects (both in the sense that an Identity Store itself must be extra secured, and that positioning an Identity Store in an infrastructure overview serves as a focal point for security considerations).
