Description
This Generic Function belongs to Working Area Middleware. The Message Filtering function checks message handling transactions, matching those transactions against patterns or rules. Depending upon the matches found, the message is either passed on (to one or more destinations or consumers) or not. Note that Message Filtering can be seen as a limited form of Data Scanning, or can be used together with Data Scanning to model internal inspection followed by a yes/no decision.
