Description

This Building Block Type belongs to Working Area Middleware (MW). A Message Distribution facility is used to exchange messages between multiple facilities that process asynchronous messages. The facility can examine each message to select a delivery route, after which it sends the message on to its final destination.

Message Distribution usually uses a predefined set of routing rules, and is often dependent on a Name Resolution facility that is tailored to suit messaging.
