Description
This Building Block Type belongs to Working Area Server (SE). The facility is capable of receiving data sent to the IT infrastructure as a stream. After receiving the stream, this facility can pass on the data from the stream to any facility that needs to process it, such as a sound processing application (for playback of audio). Optionally, this facility can also arrange for preservation of the content of the stream by storing it as raw, unstructured or perhaps structured data. This is the case with implementations such as voicemail.
