Description
This Building Block Type belongs to Working Area Network (NW). An Interconnection facility offers data transport between two or more data transport zones over relatively long distances. The following approaches are available to implement this type of facility:
- a dedicated circuit (permanent or on demand);
- access to a virtual private network (VPN) cloud, provided by a Network Service Provider;
- (encrypted) virtual circuits over insecure network clouds of third parties (typically the Internet).
