Description

This Generic Function belongs to Working Area Middleware. Transaction Coordination functionality is used to coordinate series of transactions that involve two or more distinct services.

In IT, transaction processing is information processing that is divided into individual, indivisible operations, which are the transactions. When multiple transactions need to be performed by separate services, Transaction Coordination ensures the proper execution, and handles exceptions if and when they take place.

This function is often applied in IT-landscapes that are based on a Service Oriented Architecture to support and automate business processes.
