Introduction

Generic Patterns are grouped under "Infrastructure Sectors"; this property of type text records the connection between the Pattern and its Sector. An infrastructure sector is a segment of an abstract infrastructure landscape. The position of a Generic Pattern in a specific infrastructure sector reflects the intended purpose of the infrastructure facilities that will be based on the Pattern.

Patterns that are part of this Infrastructure Sector provide functionality that is used mainly by IT support facilities and staff.
