This Function provides control over tasks, based on schedules, events, triggers, and other control information. |
Description
This Generic Function belongs to Working Area Middleware. A Scheduling facility provides control over tasks that applications carry out, based on schedules, events, triggers, and other control information. This way, computing capacity can be assigned to tasks that have priority at a certain point in time (for example user interaction), while less time sensitive tasks (such as batch processing) can be carried out during periods of little activity of prioritized tasks.
