This function can inform its user of the state of some object, system, or (infrastructure) facility. |
Description
State Lookup can inform its user of the state of some object, system, or (infrastructure) facility. This is useful for a.o. the following purposes
- health check for system management purposes;
- as a trigger to perform certain actions, or refrain from them (e.g. status probe by a load balancer);
- for logging/auditing purposes.
